WHO WE ARE

The MONILI by Micucci brand has its roots in the great Neapolitan artisan tradition in the field of making handmade leather products.

Born in 2016, from an idea of ​​Mrs. Mariacarmela Micucci together with her husband, the aeronautical engineer Aniello Forino, it immediately stood out as an ideal continuation of the centuries-old tradition of Neapolitan workshops.

MONILI by Micucci, a trademark registered in Italy and Europe, enhances the beauty of real leather, a raw material of Italian excellence, shaping simple and refined shapes capable of capturing even the most demanding looks.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

All MONILI by Micucci products are handcrafted and therefore have a variable delivery time, depending on the quantities requested.

The single bag ordered by the customer is shipped within 24 hours of the order, while for requests for larger quantities (wholesale), production and shipping times are longer (approximately 2-3 working weeks from the executive order).

Speeding up production for large wholesale quantities, and having the ability to ship ordered products within one week of ordering, is our company goal.

Bag manufacturing phases

The first step in creating a bag is designing the model and making the prototype underway. Once the model has been perfected, we proceed with the creation of the product.

1. SELECTION AND CUTTING OF LEATHER

Cutting leather is a task that requires extreme precision and above all the ability to recognize the qualities and defects of the leather you are working with; during the cutting phase, the support materials and linings are also chosen and prepared (which can be either in fabric, Alcantara or leather).

5. SEAMS

This is a very important and delicate moment in the creation of a bag as making a stitching error on the leather would compromise the leather, making the product irremediably damaged. The stitching requires meticulous care and a lot of attention.

2. LEATHER PREPARATION

The cut leathers are split and smoothed in order to make them suitable for the type of workmanship required by the bag being made.

6. FINAL FINISHES

The product is finished in detail mainly by hand; the bag is carefully examined and perfected with the addition of all the accessories and metal components, with the polishing and dyeing of the edges, with the hot stamping of any stripes and with the stamping of the final seams.

3. CHOICE OF ACCESSORIES

All the accessories that will complete the bag are chosen and prepared: small metal parts, zips, stitching thread. Our accessories are always exclusively designed and the materials are of high quality.

7. PACKAGING

The finished bag is carefully filled and wrapped in soft tissue paper and placed in a fabric bag (branded with our Registered logo) to be delivered to the customer.

4. ASSEMBLY

The finished pieces are assembled by hand starting to give shape to the bag.

8. SHIPPING

The bag is shipped with couriers of international importance and an undisputed reputation for seriousness and competence, to avoid any problem of delay in delivery or damage to the bag during shipping.
